What is your review about NIT Jamshedpur??
Studies: Bad ! Very few Professors really have minimum knowledge. The rest are pan chewing psychopaths or dumb people mostly recruited either by bribing back when this was RIT or by reservation.
Attendance is mostly ignored ! So looking at positive side of this, you can study whatever you want and whenever you want.
You don't get encouragement for projects and researches from professors compared to other NITs and IITs (but it is better than most local colleges )

Campus: HostelsAll engineering books available here are excellent. As of now we get internet at Hostels during night and at computer centre and Library during day. Infra is pretty bad... outdated labs, old books in library ( you can call that SC/ST only library ) . Class rooms are old. No canteen at all, and we are 11 kms away from city centre.
Management: Corruption brother !! Corruption all over! By professors by students ! The student council and professors exhibit excellent unity when it comes to using government funds. Last year during Cultural Fest the council and the student president stole amount in lakhs ( cultural secretary alone took around 3 lakhs ).
I still didn't get accurate info of this year's fests ( Lazy me !! ). But I can confidently say that there is good amount of corruption.
The technical fest Ojass 16 still didn't give the money to winners and it is said that some amount will be deducted from promised cash prize.
The student council interview is a time pass and few members are decided much in advance based on "you know what" !!
Even in sports meet. You get nothing. Everything is mostly drained in corruption.
These fests are still better than those at local colleges.
Industries all around. Companies all around.
Overall it is better institute as compared to local colleges and bad compared to other NITs when seen in terms of opportunities and exposure. Placements are good. It is what you make of it.
