Location- IIT Madras

Eligibility/Qualification–

 Master’s degree in Physics/Optics/Photonics with atleast 70% marks (CGPA 7.5) and 3 years research experience (or)
 Ph.D. in Physics / Optics / Photonics. (those who submitted Ph.D. thesis can also apply)

The ideal candidate would have the following skills:
 Sound fundamental knowledge in optics/photonics, preferably Physical and Fourier Optics.
 Strong record in either simulations or experimental work or both, preferably related to laser beam propagation.
 Strong communication skills (oral & written), with good publication record (atleast one paper in SCI journals and two conference publications).

Job/Position Description-

Applications are invited for the temporary post of Senior Project Scientist for our DRDO- Sponsored project titled “Numerical Investigation on Coherent Combination of Multiple Laser Beams using Titled Aperture Combining Technique with Robust Phase Control” in the Department of Electrical Engineering.

Coordinator: Prof. Balaji Srinivasan, Dept. of Electrical Engineering

Duration: Eight (08) months (likely to be further extended based on performance)

Post: Senior Project Scientist

Pay Range: Rs. 55,000/-pm to Rs.60,000/-pm
